SO2-PO1: Starting salary £34,689 per annum. The salary for this role will be enhanced through a Market Supplement of 7%.
Lambeth is recruiting two Planning Officers within its Development Management service to assist in managing all aspects of the development management process. The roles provide an exciting and rewarding long-term career opportunity for the successful applicants.

We are looking for talented individuals with a passion for planning and shaping places that will help us deliver high quality developments throughout the Borough. The nature of the job requires excellent written, verbal communication and negotiation skills.
All candidates will need to have a relevant degree, and ideally be working towards, or have secured, chartered membership of the RTPI. You will also be expected to demonstrate experience and knowledge of development management commensurate with the role that you apply for.
You will provide support to elected members and senior officers and use your sound planning judgement to make reasoned and considered recommendations on complex matters, and to present cases to the Planning Applications Committee. Your workload will include interesting and varied development proposals as the borough features world class cultural and tourist attractions, a wide range of housing, a vibrant nightlife, a significant number of conservation areas and listed buildings, successful retail and leisure destinations and large employment areas.
