You will be working in a multi-functional control Room with partner agencies monitoring CCTV cameras (Public Space Surveillance) and carrying out other tasks such as receiving and dealing with out of hours calls for the authority and monitoring alarm systems.
The council’s 24/7 365 Emergency Control Room team is part of Safer Communities and works to contribute to its objectives as well as supporting all council directorates.
We are seeking a person who is flexible and able to work shifts which will include some nights, weekends, and bank holiday working.
You will be computer literate and able to use databases to extract information and follow instructions and processes.
A good telephone manner is a pre-requisite as is the ability to communicate via radio systems.
This post is subject to full police vetting.
