Role Purpose

We are recruiting two Finance Officers Client Affairs to join the Health, Adults and Community Finance Team.

The successful candidate would need to have solid experience in Court of Protection, Deputyship and Appointeeship financial management. 

Salary Range: Grade G £31,731 – £33,474 per annum inclusive of LW

Contract: Permanent

Contracted Hours of Work: 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities  

To provide a comprehensive client financial affairs service on behalf of the Authority, in accordance with statutory requirements and the Council’s policies and procedures.

Provide an accounts and finance service for clients and undertake duties in accordance with statutory requirements, standing orders, the Council’s financial regulations and procedures, and the scheme of financial delegation.

To correspond with internal and external parties, including clients, next of kin, and other Council departments to resolve financial matters pertinent to this post.

To interact with external bodies such as the Department for Works and Pensions, the Court of Protection and estate agents appointed to deal with the clients’ properties, resolving issues or queries in relation to the clients on behalf of the Deputy.

To represent the Authority on all Client Affairs related matters and manage the interdepartmental relationship between Corporate Finance, Departmental Finance, Adult Social Care and Adult Safeguarding to ensure an efficient and effective service is provided to clients.

To comply with the requirements to confirm covid-19 vaccination status as required by government regulations.
