We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) to join the Halton Mental Health Social Work Team/AMHP daytime service.
The AMHP service is part of the Mental Health Social Work Service. You will be expected to participate on the daytime AMHP rota as well as providing professional support to a caseload of individuals requiring support in accordance with the Care Act. This role is diverse and challenging at times because it offers an opportunity to support people when they are potentially at their most vulnerable.
As an AMHP you will be provided with ongoing AMHP training via the Cheshire Training Partnership and personal supervision. We have an established AMHP Forum that meets monthly and gives AMHP’s the opportunity to meet with their peers to enhance practice, develop and share learning and raise any topics for professional practice/concern with senior management.
The successful applicant will role model excellent standards of practice, knowledge and people skills. You will work closely with the other members of Mental Health/Social Care Services in offering the highest standards of care to the population we support.
37 hours 5 days a week Monday –Friday.
As an essential car user you will receive an annual Essential Car User Allowance (£960 per annum, paid monthly) and Mileage allowance. There is free parking available at all HBC office bases and bridge tolls and any other parking costs incurred as part of your working day will be reimbursed.
For an informal discussion about this post, please contactSue Rothwell Principal Manager or Tess Clancy Practice Manager/AMHP Lead on 01928753968.
Interviews will be held on 16th November 2021.
From 11 November 2021, The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities)(Amendment)(Coronavirus) Regulations 2021 require registered persons of all Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered care homes (which provide accommodation together with nursing or personal care) to ensure that a person does not enter the indoor premises unless they have been vaccinated against COVID-19. You will not be eligible for employment or continued employment in such a setting if you are unable to evidence to your employer/prospective employer that you have either been vaccinated with the complete course of doses of an authorised vaccine (including booster doses); or that for clinical reasons you are medically exempt from vaccination.
