Salary range: £62,185 plus market supplement

Head of Asset Strategy
As we move into the next phase of planning for our medium-term capital programme, a vacancy has arisen for a Head of Asset Strategy.
This post is responsible for creating and driving the strategy for improving and updating our residential assets, as well as looking after our operational assets.
The post is challenging but rewarding and will give you the opportunity to play a major part in creating great places where people want to live
Working closely with colleagues across Housing, Communities and Qualis, the role will include the development of a 5-year asset strategy and a dynamic asset register, as well as our net zero strategy for both residential and operational assets.
Also working with colleagues to develop a place-based approach to asset management, assessing the longer-term sustainability of our assets and identifying suitable interventions, including undertaking comprehensive options appraisals.
Health and Safety is key, and the post holder will drive the evolution and positioning of the Building Safety Case through proactive management and control in full accordance with the Building Safety Bill requirements.

With a team of approximately 8 people you will embrace the new agile way of working and play a key role in the implementation of the new Housing Asset Management System.
You will need to have a good working knowledge of all of the relevant legislation covering compliance in Gas, Electric, Water, Asbestos, CDM, SFG20 and an understanding of the contents of the Housing White Paper and the Hackett “Building Safer Buildings” report as well as having a leadership style and approach that is absolutely in line with the values of EFDC
