Premises Assistant

Start date:              As soon as possible

Location:               Ark Alexandra Academy, Hastings, East Sussex

Salary:                   Ark Support Scale 4, Pay Points 3-7 (£18,562 to £20,092)

Hours:          Full-time – 36 hours per week, 52 weeks of the year, working a shift pattern between the hours of 7am – 7pm

Contract:                Permanent

Do you have skills in basic decorating, plumbing and handyman tasks? Do you have experience in building maintenance?

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Premises Assistant to join our hard-working site team who provide high quality service in all aspects of site management. You will support the management and operations of premises-related functions at the Academy including buildings and grounds maintenance, security, cleaning, health and safety, lettings of our facilities and contractors. This is a key role to ensure we provide a safe and inviting environment for all.

•         Have experience of caretaking or building maintenance

•         Have skills in basic decorating, plumbing and handyman tasks

•         Have a resilient character and a strong personal drive

•         Be able to meet the physical demands of the role including working at height and manual handling

•         Be able to take ownership of tasks and complete to a high standard

•         Be able to use a computer and undertake administrative tasks

•         Be a team player that can work collaboratively as well as using your own initiative

•         Be flexible in covering other team members when required, even if it’s on the other campus
