Orbis Procurement is a collaborative partnership between East Sussex County Council, Surrey County Council and Brighton and Hove City Council which manages a procurement spend of more than £1.6bn a year with external suppliers. As a service we procure a vast range of products and services from software to social care services and from environmental services to new buildings. We offer a great place to work and are on the lookout for Procurement Specialists and Procurement Managers to join our amazing team.
Due to the internal promotion of some of our current staff, we are looking to hire experienced Procurement Managers into our team on a permanent and fixed term basis. Our Procurement Managers are core to the success of our Strategic Procurement Teams and will be responsible for leading on a wide range of procurement projects across the different category areas. As a Procurement Manager, you will work closely with those delivering services to ensure that the goods, works and services procured address the needs of our residents and partners.
At the moment, we are interested in a wide range of skills, experience and capabilities, but those with a background in Transportation, Highways and Infrastructure would be very welcome.
This role attracts a salary between £33,145 and £35,802 and provides excellent flexibility and benefits, which includes generous leave allowance, local government salary-related pension, as well other benefits such as car lease scheme and childcare vouchers. Our administrative bases are in Lewes (County Hall) or Reigate (Woodhatch Place) and Hove Town Hall. Some travel to the other offices will be required from time to time.

- Have previous procurement experience - Public Sector experience and sound knowledge of public procurement regulations is a big advantage

- Want to contribute to providing high-quality public services across the South-East.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
