About the role
We are looking for an outstanding individual to support the East Sussex Safeguarding Adults Board to achieve its strategic business plan and deliver its vision to safeguard adults from abuse and neglect. You must be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of partners and have excellent communication, management and leadership skills. The ability to manage competing priorities and to deliver complex work plans on time will be essential. You will need to have a detailed understanding of Adult Safeguarding, key legislation, quality and assurance systems, as well as having professional experience of this area of work and in partnership working.
The post holder must have a good knowledge of the Safeguarding Adults agenda. This includes knowledge of national policy and legislation in the sphere of Adult Social Care, Mental Health and Mental Capacity. You will also have knowledge of the work of a Safeguarding Adults Board, and good understanding of how partner agencies support its work. You will need to demonstrate your ability to establish effective professional working relationships across multiple agencies.
The desirable candidate will also demonstrate their ability to influence others to effect change and to motivate others. You will need to be able to multi-task and prioritise demands and deadlines from various sources.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
