About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Information Governance and Data Protection team within Children’s Services.
This is a varied, interesting and fast paced role where you will be exposed to a wide range of information governance and data protection activities.
The Children’s Services Information Governance team supports both the department and schools across the county to meet data protection requirements, including the successful provision of the statutory role of Data Protection Officer for schools.
Working as a key member of the Information Governance team, you will be responsible for the provision of information governance advice and support and the adherence of statutory requirements in relation to data protection through training programmes and compliance reviews.
We are looking for a data protection professional who can offer a 'hands-on' approach from day one, who is committed to providing a fantastic provision to both our internal and external customers with a focus on exceptional customer service and innovation to support and grow our traded service offer.

The role is full time however we do operate a flexible working policy and would be happy to discuss individual requests at interview.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
