About the role
IT & Digital are looking for a talented and passionate Data Architect. This key role, within the ESCC Strategy & Engagement Team, leads on corporate information and data architecture and is responsible for developing the strategic capability that sets the standards and provides the tools to enhance the value of data and information assets across the organisation.
This strategic role is responsible for ensuring that the Council has appropriate governance and security arrangements in place for the management of its information assets, leading on the development of policies and processes required to ensure this. Leading and motivating the Data Management Team, this role is responsible for statutory reporting and for developing a data-driven culture to improve interoperability and to leverage data whenever and wherever possible to enhance business effectiveness and efficiency.
The successful person will work with colleagues and senior service stakeholders to champion data as a strategic asset, striving to get its value widely recognised and trusted to help inform decision making and to be a fundamental enabler of a digital workforce and effective partnership working.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
