We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Parking Team. You will manage and develop a group of professional staff, within the Parking Team, ensuring both individuals and the team performs to the best of their ability to ensure high standards of service delivery to the public.
You will be responsible for maintaining the portfolio of 50+ car parks, within Medway and will be expected to provide an effective, efficient and safe service for highway and car park users, across Medway, within agreed policies, programmes and resources including preparing maintenance programmes, analysing and appraising projects (including ANPR and EV implementation), investigating strategies, as well as investigating and organising repairs to faults.
You will be responsible for the provision of an efficient and cost effective service, making a positive contribution to the community, the Councils revenue budget and to traffic management.
You will prepare, develop and monitor contract documents, policies and procedures taking the required action and making recommended improvements in service delivery where appropriate.
You will provide comprehensive technical and administrative support including the preparation of detailed documentation, files and reports to substantiate the chosen course of action and attend and give evidence in court and at Inquiries on behalf of the council.
Previous experience working within a Parking environment is desirable
You will deputize for the Parking Business Manager when required and covering for the Parking Enforcement Manager in their absence.
