This is an opportunity to join the team at the Dock Museum: the award-winning tourist attraction based in Barrow-in-Furness.

The applicant will be required to undertake various front of house duties at the Dock Museum. These will relate to the security of the Museum, the provision of visitor services to the highest standard and the safety of the public whilst visiting the Museum.

The post is offered on a part-time basis of 6.875 hours on average per week to include weekend work, worked over 2/3 days and on a 2 week on, 2 week off rota.  There will be a requirement to cover colleagues’ annual leave and work in other Council leisure facility providers when required. 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.

The successful candidate will be automatically enrolled in the Local Government Pension Scheme and will be required to obtain a Basic Disclosure.
