About the role
Social work has never been so important as it is today as we continue to recover from an International Pandemic.
We are still uncertain about what the recovery period will look like and people continue to be cautious about what “normal” will look like. Social work and social care has always existed in the territory of uncertainties and often work with people who face personal and social isolation.
At the Eastbourne Neighbourhood Support Team (NST), we are looking to recruit Social Workers and Resource Officers to enhance and develop our team even further, to support people at some of the most challenging times of their lives.
We are looking for Social Workers and Resource Officers who are resilient, skilled and self-motivated and who care about and understand the complexities of life that people in our community often face. Your work will be varied, including statutory work - application of the Care Act, safeguarding adults from abuse, self-neglect work, complex case work including working with adults with physical and mental health need. You will need to be able to work remotely and have a good grasp of contemporary communication platforms and technology.
In return we offer excellent supervision from an experienced management team and the opportunity to rotate within the domains of our service; duty, first response, case work and self-neglect. You will become a valued member of a conscientious, experienced and friendly team – making Eastbourne NST the destination to work!
If you are interested, or have any questions, please contact Richard Hayes (Practice Manger) for a further discussion.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau).
