The starting salary for this role is £24,780 per annum for a 36 hour working week.
Surrey Fire & Rescue Service provide emergency services around the County, 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year.
The Property Fire Technician will contribute to and support the provision of a responsive maintenance to nominated Surrey Fire and Rescue sites within Surrey, through a flexible and reliable mobile service that offers a cost-effective alternative to the use of external contractors.
As the Property Fire Technician for the Logistics team you will be working as part of a small but crucial team. You will be an active team member in a vary varied role from basic Joinery work, Painting and decorating, Grounds maintenance, basic plumbing work, Patching, Plastering and Tiling. This will be over a 36 hour week Monday to Friday.
The post holder must be able to forward plan, meet timescales and prioritise own workload. They will also support the Infrastructure Manager and Infrastructure Support Officer in maintaining a close working relationship with the Surrey County Council property team, and their contractors.

- Full clean driving license
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Experience of handy-person duties
- Ability to follow instructions from management but to use initiative when required
- Customer focused communication skills
- Ability to organise and prioritise practical works and admin tasks
