18.5 hours a week

Externally funded 12 months fixed term contract, with potential to extend for 2nd year

Based in Morley, Leeds

Part of West Yorkshire Joint Services, West Yorkshire Trading Standards is an exciting and fast paced organisation serving five District Councils within West Yorkshire – Bradford, Calderdale, Kirklees, Leeds and Wakefield.

The role is based in the Cheap and Illicit Tobacco Team, which works in partnership with other agencies to tackle the supply of illegal tobacco across West Yorkshire

The postholder will be a proactive member of the West Yorkshire Tackling Illegal Tobacco programme, focussing on raising awareness and gaining behavioural insights in communities (both public and professionals) on illegal tobacco in order to prevent its use and reduce the supply and demand for illegal tobacco in West Yorkshire.  The role includes developing and delivering interactive and accessible educational sessions, workshops and awareness raising activities relating to the impact of cheap and illicit tobacco on health and local communities.
