Crosby High School (a 156 place 11-16 school for pupils with moderate learning difficulties/complex learning difficulties and physical disabilities. We are seeking to appoint a number of dedicated and committed teaching assistants (level 2) with a proven record of academic support for children as well as an ability to offer quality care and support to children. Experience of primary practice and / or working with pupils with Special Educational Needs is desirable.
We are looking to appoint teaching assistants with strong communication skills who recognise that the role of the TA is strongly linked to removing barriers for learning for our pupils. We are looking for teaching assistants who demonstrate a deep passion in relation to the education of pupils with Special Educational Needs as the focus of the school is firmly set on providing the very best education for every pupil.
We require teaching assistants to work within various year groups providing 1:1 support to individual pupils when needed. Training will be provided prior to commencement of the post. The posts are fixed term on an annual basis and links to the child (ie when they leave the school the contract will end) The post will commence on 1 November 2021

Due to the nature of work the above post is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and relevant care/safeguarding legislation and appointment will only be confirmed if a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure is obtained from the Criminal Records Bureau.
