The role
Oxford City Council is leading the City’s response to the Climate Emergency. Taking the lead from the outcomes of the Climate Change Citizen’s Assembly, the Council has adopted a challenging objective for it to be NetZero by 2030. Oxford City Council is looking for a passionate, capable and dynamic person to join its Environmental Sustainability team and play a leading role in making its NetZero target happen.

Oxford City Council’s Sustainable City Team accelerates city-wide sustainability, particularly carbon emissions reductions and air quality improvements. We do this by working with and for our partners across the City.

This role will support the delivery of the electric vehicle programme and an exciting portfolio of Innovation projects, supporting the provision of electric vehicle charging infrastructure and Oxford EV strategy. This role requires a fast learner, vision, resilience, agility, commitment, focus and energy. If that sounds like you, we would like to hear from you.
