Full Time – Fixed Term (18 months)

Due to recent growth at the College, we are seeking an outstanding Tutor to deliver our range of digital skills and employability courses, from pre-entry level through to Level 2. This includes both regulated and non-regulated learning.

New Directions College is Reading Borough Council’s Adult Community Learning and Skills service.  This year we’re celebrating 63 years of Adult Learning in Reading. We’re a small friendly College delivering to over 2000 learners and Apprentices each year, directly and through our subcontractors and partners.

About the Role
We are looking for someone with experience of teaching accredited ICT/Digital Skills as well as Employability and Personal Development programmes. You would preferably have experience of delivering within an adult and community learning environment.

You should also have relevant occupational competence and professional teaching qualifications that enable you to support adult learners to develop their skills, confidence and knowledge in ICT and make progress.

You should be passionate about supporting others, have strong communication skills and should have experience of delivering accredited qualifications as well as recording and recognising progress and achievement using standardised tools.


You will be responsible for working with learners to conduct initial assessments, develop their individual learning plan and to set them meaningful targets that will enhance their skills, knowledge and personal skills.
