Part Time – Fixed Term (21.6hours)

Working in a small team of three, you will provide free impartial advice and support to children and young people with SEND and their parents or carers in Redbridge, in compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and national and local standards.
You will be primarily located at Ray Lodge Children’s Resource Centre in Woodford.
Your key areas of focus in the role will be:
- Working with the team and RIASS Manager to maintain a service that is ‘arm’s length’ from the Local Authorities
- Provide accurate and impartial advice via telephone, email and in face to face meetings
- Provide information, advice and support before, during and following a SEND appeal and or Tribunal. This may include representation during the hearing
- Empowering service users to express their views in meetings with the local authority, education providers and other professionals
You will need to be able to tailor your support based on individual needs, undertake research and signpost to other services as required and will need excellent communication skills.
This role will be fixed term to 31 March 2022.
