This is an excellent opportunity to join the Governance Team at Wyre Council working as the Council’s Senior Electoral Services Officer.

 

Your main role will be to support the Electoral Services and Information Governance Manager and provide high-level support to the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) and the Returning Officer (RO) in the administration of all elections and referendums in the borough. You will also lead in the preparation, compilation and maintenance of a complete and accurate Register of Electors.

 

The postholder will also manage the Mayoral and Civic Administration function, having oversight of the day-to-day running of all mayoral and civic responsibilities.

 

The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge and experience of the electoral processes of a Local Government electoral function and have extensive experience of the use of the Xpress Elections and Electoral Registration IT system or a similar system.

 

The postholder must have excellent personal communication, both verbal and written and have the ability to work unsupervised at pace but with accuracy and often to tight conflicting deadlines.
