Introducing ourselves:

The Active Sports Team are responsible for delivering a portfolio of numerous public health, sport and physical activity programmes working with a wide range of partners and contributing to key council priorities including Health & Wellbeing, Most Vulnerable and Community Resilience.

Job requirements:

Active Sefton are looking to recruit a highly motivated, experienced Development Manager to oversee the portfolio of services available to support the health and wellbeing of children and young people (0-19 years). The Development Manager will be responsible for the development and management of a comprehensive programme of targeted / settings-based services designed for children and young people that use healthy lifestyle interventions, physical activity and sport to address a wide range of council and key partner agendas.  These will specifically include targeted health and wellbeing programmes such as the Active Schools Service, the MOVE IT Programme (a health and wellbeing service for overweight or obese children and their families) and the 121 referral programme (working to improve the mental wellbeing of children and young people) amongst other 0-19 provision.  As an integral part of a newly established Children and Young People’s Integrated Wellness Service, the role will be expected to work in partnership with a range of Council services and partner organisations that deliver on the children and young people agenda.  The role will also act as Active Sefton’s representative within the Integrated Wellness Service ‘hub’ model, working as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside key partners and service providers.

Interview dates will be anticipated mid-October.
