To help us on our journey we a looking for a Qualified Social Worker to work in our children in care team. If you have a strong value base, are innovative and want to make a difference for children and families, then we want you. As a Children in Care team we want the best for our children and young people and we strive to ensure that our children live in stable and caring homes without disruption. To achieve this you will be working in a multi-professional environment where the team around the child is truly supportive. As a social work team we have a strong understanding of how trauma has impacted the lives of our children and young people. With this knowledge and working in a therapeutic environment, we seek to work alongside the child and their support network so they have every chance to achieve their dreams. We are looking for a dedicated and ambitious Social Worker who is as passionate about children and young people as we are.
We are a small unitary authority bordering the County of Somerset and the City of Bristol with good rail and motorway links. North Somerset is an economically diverse area, having areas of great affluence and extreme poverty. There is we an expanding population and includes outstanding countryside and seaside resorts.
Things are changing in North Somerset and we are developing trauma informed practice whilst embedding Signs of Safety. As a result, we are looking for an experienced worker to join us on our journey of improvement.
