About the role

Teaching Assistant 2 & Midday Supervisor - College Central Bexhill-on-Sea and/or Hastings

  • Fixed Term contract until 31st August 2022
  • Term Time Only – Wednesday to Friday
  • 18 hours per week as follows:
  • TA2 at 15 hours per week PLUS
  • Midday Supervisor responsibilities at 3 hours per week
  • 39 weeks worked per year/46 (TA) & 44.65 (MSA) weeks paid per year
  • (FTE Grade 1/SSP2 £17,842 to Grade 3/SSP7 £18,562)
  • Pro-rata salary starting from £7,895 p.a.

College Central sites based at Hastings and Bexhill-on-Sea, are seeking to recruit a Teaching Assistant (with midday supervisor responsibilities), initially on a fixed term contract until 31st August 2022, into their Key Stage 3 (Bexhill) and/or Key Stage 4 (Hastings) departments, to support various programmes for anxious and vulnerable pupils. The main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils and assisting in preparation of resources.  We are looking for applicants who are innovative, enthusiastic and flexible, as well as having a keen interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils.

The successful candidate will be joining a Trust and school that continues to be ambitious in its drive to improve outcomes for our pupils. The working pattern is three days per week, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, from at least 8.30am –3.30pm.  We are a friendly and supportive team, with additional benefits, such as free daily lunch.
