Higher Learning Teaching Assistant - with Autism Specialism

Priory School is a happy and thriving Secondary School based in Lewes, East Sussex. The Governors are recruiting a Higher Learning Teaching Assistant, with an Autism Specialism. This role is based in the ASD facility and includes supporting the SEN Teacher with leading classes within the facility and in mainstream lessons, supporting SEN children and Teaching Assistants. Working with outstanding SEN professionals, Teachers, SENCOs, parents and Educational Psychologists.
The role is suitable for candidates with:
HLTA qualification (desirable) or evidence of senior SEN support role
You must be confident, proactive and dedicated
Good academics across GCSE & A Level is essential
Ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists or SEN professionals or Psychology Graduate with ASD experience.
The successful applicant will be offered CPD and additional training throughout and be supported by specialist SEN professionals.
The salary is Single Status grade 8, Points 20 - 22, £23,598 to £25,487, actual salary is £16,456 to £17,774 a year for 30 hours per week working term time to include inset days.
