About the role
Teaching Assistant TA3 and Midday Supervisory Assistant
Year 5 and 6 (Part time)

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant, to work in our Year 5 and 6 class, every morning (8.45am – 12pm) and to cover one afternoon PPA time (1.30pm – 3.20pm). The successful candidate will be someone who loves working with children, is hard working, reliable and positive with strong communication and organisational skills.
Positive mental health and wellbeing are the building blocks that allow children to develop into confident learners. Here at Catsfield we pride ourselves in putting nurture at the heart of our school. We are looking for the right person who will advance our pupil’s learning whilst embodying our core nurture values.
Attached to this contract is a Midday Supervisory Assistant contract for 1 hour per day (12.00 – 13.00pm). The main purpose of the role is to supervise and take care of the children during the lunchtime period in all areas inside and outside of the school. A key task is encouraging play activities and managing the behaviour of the children in line with the School Behaviour Policy. When supervising the dining hall it is to ensure the environment is clean, tidy and safe.
TA 3 Role
Salary – Single Status Grade 4 Scale Points 9-10 : £9.81 - £10.01 per hour dependent on experience.
Hours of Work - Permanent contract of 18.08 hours a week (18 hours and 5 minutes).

Salary – Single Status Grade 1 - £9.25 per hour
Hours of Work - Permanent contract of 5 hours a week (12 – 13.00pm )
Working pattern – Part time and term time only.
