Cuckmere House School schools, has an exciting opportunity to employ a part-time Exams Officer to provide administrative support to the School by undertaking duties associated with all aspects of internal and external examinations including responsibility for registration, policies, liaison with awarding bodies; compliance with regulations; oversight of invigilation of pupils taking examinations; and, associated data processing. An ability to work in collaboration with other professionals/teams and also on own initiative is essential, as is knowledge and understanding of the examination requirements of schools and aptitude with a variety of ICT applications including information management systems and Microsoft Excel.

Our young people have social, emotional and mental health needs and therefore resilience and a good sense of humour would be beneficial. While the role does not require you to work directly with our pupils, applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to their needs. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable, it is not essential and appropriate training will be provided for the right candidate.

You will be required 6 hours per week and the working pattern to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Candidates should note that it may be possible to integrate some agreed remote working over the course of the year. However, the nature of the post does mean that you will need to be school based when there are visits and when examinations and results take place. 

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential. We will provide you with high quality training and support.
