About the role

Sports Coach

TERM TIME ONLY PERMANENT 25 HOURS PER WEEK CONTRACT

Westfield is a popular one-form entry village school, set in the countryside just outside of Hastings.  We believe our role, as educators, is to prepare children to be successful in life.  We aim to create well-rounded, self-motivated individuals who are healthy, confident, happy and achieve the best they can.  We are a good school and we want a Sports coach who can inspire and encourage our children to fully participate in and enjoy P.E lessons.

We need a Sports Coach who:

  • can deliver sports lessons to an agreed group of pupils and complete assessments
  • is passionate and nurturing, who can be flexible in their approach to this varied and busy role
  • has a positive attitude and a love of learning
  • can motivate and encourage children in sport activities 
  • has a strong understanding of the principles of child development and learning processes
  • can provide extra-curricular activities as and when required

You will also be expected to undertake basic First Aid and/or Paediatric First Aid training if you do not currently have that qualification.
