Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (working for 39 weeks per year plus 5.85 weeks annual leave, which will increase after 5 years' continuous service)

Individual Needs Assistant
£12,944 a year - actual, (30 hours a week, Term Time Only)
To Start September 2021 until July 2022
Priory is a very successful school with an excellent reputation. The school is consistently oversubscribed yet has a genuinely comprehensive intake. The Governors of this successful school seek to appoint an Individual Needs Assistant (until July 2022).
The successful candidates will be capable and caring people, who are able to provide SEND support for students with a high level of academic and/or physical needs, in a mainstream setting. Experience with supporting student access to the mainstream secondary curriculum would be beneficial.
Manual handling training can be given.
Desirable skills and Experience:
• Experience working with young people with additional needs in an educational setting is desirable, though not essential.
• An understanding of autism and the potential impact on learning
• A commitment to Inclusion
• An empathetic and flexible approach
• Ability to work with the class teacher and as part of the Inclusion Team.
The grade is Grade 3, Scale point 7, £18,562 pro rata. The actual yearly salary is £12,944.
