About the role
Manor Primary School is a large, successful two form entry school in Uckfield. We live and breathe our motto, "Everyone Matters; Everyone Helps; Everyone Succeeds". We are an inclusive school and recognised by Ofsted to be ambitious for all our children, "not satisfied until pupils of all abilities achieve the highest standards possible in reading, writing and mathematics by the end of Year 6."
We are looking for a Year 6 teacher to join us from the start of Term 2, or January 2022 to cover a period of maternity leave until 31 August 2022. As this is a crucial year group for the children, we are seeking an experienced teacher who is able to have immediate impact on the children's learning. You will be:
- A creative and reflective practitioner with a sound knowledge of the end of KS2 assessment framework.
- Able to quickly form positive relationships with the children, really care about their progress and wellbeing and take pride in their achievements.
- Able to motivate our children and inspire them to be confident, independent learners.
- Able to quickly build on the strong relationships we have with parents and carers.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to:
- Teach a class of wonderful children who truly love to learn.
- Join a strong a supportive Upper Key Stage 2 team of teachers and teaching assistants.
- Be supported by an ambitious and caring leadership and governing body.
