Commissioning Officer - Adults and Health
£37,722 - £40,869 per annum
The London Borough of Newham is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly-motivated Commissioning Officer to join the Adults and Health Commissioning Team.
The role will support Commissioners in the development, commissioning and procurement of high quality Adult Social Care services, which are of best value and which meet identified local need in line with nationally and locally agreed strategic priorities across the whole Adults and Health portfolio.
This is an important and challenging role with an expectation of fast paced delivery. Candidates must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the developing national and local landscape in relation to Adult Social Care and Health; experience of commissioning and procurement in Social Care, Health or closely related fields; proven skills in negotiation and influencing, problem solving, excellent communication both written and verbal and strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and stakeholders.
The Commissioning Officer will be required to provide support to the Team in all aspects of the Commissioning Cycle, ensuring the involvement of key stakeholders, analysis and presentation of data and supporting financial management of budgets for commissioned services.
