CONTACT TRACER

 

Salary Scale 6 (from £25,481 per annum)

Temporary Fixed Term Contract to 31st October 2022

 

We are looking for 4 Contact Tracers for a fixed term contract until 31st October 2022. You will use your customer service and call handling skills to interview positive COVID-19 cases and their contacts. You will have an integral role in the early identification and escalation of potential outbreaks and escalate cases to the specialist contact tracers for further investigation. You will also have a key role in supporting and signposting residents for support and wellbeing.

About you

 

Under the general direction of the Public Protection Manager and the day-to-day supervision of the Commercial Team Leader or Environmental Health Officer (Contact Tracing), the post holder will be part of a wider multi-disciplinary team contributing to the day-to-day provision of the infection control function of the Council. You will work in a preventive role to help reduce the spread of infection through education, advice and persuasion and will undertake case management, liaise with, and provide health protection advice and response across a range of businesses, partner organisations, professionals and the public. You will actively contribute to the wider provision and development of infection control in Cumbria.

 

The post is offered on a full time 37 hours per week.

You will be required to work flexibly and will contribute to a 7 days per week rota which will include weekends and evenings, to ensure that our response is timely and effective. You should have a can-do attitude and be an excellent communicator. This role can be carried out remotely.

 

The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide information, advice and instruction in accurate spoken English is an essential requirement.
