Operations Officers/Lifeguards (Ref: OO)

The John Warner Sports Centre in Hoddesdon
Salary up to £18,532.80 p.a, (depending on age)
40 hours per week
We welcome unqualified lifeguards. We will train you provided you are a good swimmer and willing to undertake our Lifeguard training course. As a Lifeguard, your duties will include setting up and breaking down sports equipment and helping members of the public who visit the centres. You will also be responsible for ensuring centres are kept clean and tidy at all times.
You will have:
- Good swimming ability being able to complete the Lifeguard Course Pre-Requisites (These can be found on the RLSS website)
- A total commitment to customer service
- High standards for cleaning
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- A willingness to be flexible and embrace change.

Successful candidates will work on a shift pattern that includes evenings and weekends, and will have the opportunity to work at both leisure centres. This role requires an enhanced disclosure check that the Council will pay for.
The ability to converse at ease with members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential in this post.
