Here at Bracknell Forest Council we are always looking for better ways of doing things. Network Recovery Facilitators provide assistance on a short-term basis using relationship building, graded exposure, confidence building, anxiety management and motivational techniques to support individuals experiencing mental ill-health and their carers on their recovery journey to access and attend appointments around benefits, housing, education, volunteering, employment, social activities, appointments and life after Network support to gain independence and help prevent episodes of mental ill-health that warrant secondary care or bed-based provision.

We are a small team who work closely together providing support to our clients. We engage with other services and ensure our clients are at the forefront of everything we do.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, empathise, be supportive, patient, and respectful. You will use your creativity to identify innovative solutions when supporting individuals to access community assets or run virtual session to keep clients engaged and can work proactively using your own initiative and as part of a team. Your drive, organisational skills and ability to understand people’s strengths and aspirations will enable you to ensure eligible individuals are given the best possible chance to remain socially connected, better understand their mental health, and develop their confidence, their life skills and their resilience so they can live as independently as possible with a reduced likelihood of needing secondary mental health support.

What we're looking for...
The role requires a dynamic and committed individual who has a firm understanding of mental ill-health, experience of working with the community and voluntary sector and who can engage with a wide range of people, including carers.
