FIXED TERM 14 Months: 37 hours per week
SALARY: £4.30 per hour
An opportunity has arisen for an Apprenticeship at Mid Devon District Council working in our Housing Repairs Technical Support Team based at Mid Devon District Council Office.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be working within a small but busy office environment. You will be involved in a range of administrative functions such as sorting and opening the post for the council, scanning documents into an electronic workflow system, taking and dealing with calls from tenants and providing administrative support to repairs supervisors, surveyors and housing officers.
You will need a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above or be willing to work towards your Level 2 functional skills.
About the Apprenticeship
Within your apprenticeship you will develop your knowledge, skills and understanding to be able to provide a high quality administrative service to the Housing Service. You will be working to complete the Level 2 Housing and Property Management Apprenticeship and the CIH Level 2 Certificate in Housing Practice delivered online by the Chartered Institute of Housing.
Training on the Apprenticeships Programme for 16 to 18 year olds is a priority and fully-funded by Government but we welcome applicants of any age.
The level 2 apprenticeship process will take approximately 14 months to complete and will be supported with on the job and off the job training. You will have regular contact and access to your tutor virtually and there will also be time spent away from day to day duties to complete coursework and assignments.
