The Commissioning and Procurement Department has a key opportunity for an experienced professional to lead on aspects of supplier relationship management. With management responsibility of the Commissioning Support Officer the successful candidate will help to guide supplier relationship and contract management process having a particular focus on working with key providers in various categories.
Skills and experience in building partnerships with other organisations and working with multiple internal teams would be an advantage in this role in order to deliver the Council’s objectives and targets on category and contract management.
Key tasks will include developing and progressing the council’s supplier relationship approach, design and implementation of contract management documentation and working closely with providers to understand their financial position and security. The successful candidate will also work closely with a HR assistant to facilitate a temporary staff recruitment contract.
A degree in a relevant discipline and substantial experience through relevant previous roles are considered essential requirements. Also of importance will be the ability to support and develop colleagues in the team and work with and influence partners both within and beyond the organisation.
