An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Employment and Volunteering service has an Employment and Volunteering Coordinator. 

Background

The Employment and Volunteering service support vulnerable adults and young people into paid employment, work experience and voluntary placements. The service also works in partnership with Barnsley College as part of the Internship Programme.

Barnsley is proud to maintain above average national figures for supporting vulnerable people into employment as part of the ASCOF indicator.

Being an Employment and Volunteering Coordinator is more than a job and you will support vulnerable people into work. You will help them identify their key job skills, improve their CV, perfect their interview technique and gain better job seeking skills.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with the right skills and experience to bring to the team, who has the creativity and drive to support the employment market

The ideal candidate will have had experience working in a social, educational or training setting with vulnerable adults and supervising a team.

What you will need

You will need a level 3 qualification relevant to the role, and/or training/teaching.
