About the role
A 12-month, full time fixed-term position for a Resource Officer within the County Wide Reviewing Team has become available.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a project which will inform current and future practice in relation to direct payments. You will be working across the county in partnership with people in a multi-disciplinary way, promoting the independence of the adults we work with.
You will be undertaking Care Act (2014) compliant reviews and re-assessments, offering support, guidance and signposting where necessary in line with East Sussex County Council (ESCC) policy which offers direct payments to all Adults and Carers where possible. Direct payments enable individuals to exercise choice and control over who provides their care and support and how this is provided to meet their eligible care and support needs.
You will need to be confident and competent in working in a multidisciplinary way, assessing risk, undertaking mental capacity assessments, have knowledge of Safeguarding Adults practice and be willing to develop in these areas. You will have the ability to work flexibly, work to deadlines, to contribute to key projects and to the success of this high achieving team.
This is a challenging role – but there’s no shortage of rewards either – as the part you play will ensure our service continues to develop, giving positive outcomes for vulnerable people who have been assessed as meeting the Adult Social Care eligibility criteria.
All applications will be considered against the Job Description and Person Specification.
This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check or Enhanced check for Regulated Activity with the Disclosure & Barring Services (previously the Criminal Records Bureau). For further information about what is required in this process please go to http://www.gov.uk/disclosure-barring-service-check. Please note that we require evidence of an overseas police check if you have lived or worked abroad.
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
Work Permits: we may be able to obtain a Work Permit for this post but this is subject to meeting the requirements of the UK Border Agency’s Points-based Immigration System.
Due to the restrictions we cannot guarantee that individuals that meet the requirements of the Points-based Immigration System will be issued with clearance to obtain work permits.
