About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two highly motivated Administrative Support Officers to bring their skills to the East Sussex County Council, Early Help Service for families (0-19). Rated Outstanding by Ofsted, we are ambitious on behalf of the young people and families we work with and believe every role plays a key part in their success.
There are two vacant positions available as follows:
1 x 37hours post working in the Rother area. Based at Saxonwood (in Battle) the role will also support the local area as necessary, including at Sidley Children’s Centre in Bexhill.
1 x 20hour post working in the Hastings & St Leonards area. Based at Hastings Town Children’s Centre, the role will also provide regular peripatetic support in the local area, including East Hastings, St Leonards and Robsack Children’s Centres.
These roles are varied and require an ability to multi-task. You will be able to organise your own workload to meet the demands of a reactive and busy environment. Strong MS Office skills will be key to your success, as will good data inputting skills. You should be flexible and self-motivated with the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
Crucially, you’ll need to be a great communicator. Being able to talk to a parent who has called in distress, as well as working with partners and managers as part of an integrated Early Help Service which includes ESHT Health Visiting colleagues, is a key part of the role.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
