About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Learning Disability Services.
We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed person to join us. This post is within our Day Services based in Eastbourne.
As Team Leader you will lead a team of support workers to provide responsive support to people with a learning disability. Helping people to pursue their chosen lifestyle and connect with their community. You will be responsible for supporting, supervising and providing clear management of a skilled staff team and managing the day to day running of the service.
Within this role you will be responsible for promoting a culture that is based on respect and dignity. You will bring with you a commitment to providing excellent support, continuously learning and reflecting, along with an ethos of working together. You will support the service manager to develop the service and to maintain high standards.
Having good ICT skills including proficient use of words and excel, email and outlook with the ability to produce information in an accessible format are required for this role, along with the ability to build and maintain professional and positive relationships with stakeholders, parents, carers and colleagues for the benefit of the people we support.
In addition to the right core values you will need to have good leadership, communication and organisational skills. The role is challenging but rewarding. This role will involve frequent travelling around East Sussex and at short notice on occasion. Being a car driver and having access to a vehicle for is essential to this role. Applicants will need to demonstrate how they can meet the travel requirements.

This position is graded at Single Status 8, with scale points of 20 to 22, which equate to £23,598 to £25,487 per annum. This post is for 30 hours per week and the salary will be pro rata. We currently operate on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. You will need to be available to work between the hours of 0800 to 1930 on a rota basis.
