Cannock Chase Council Housing Options Team is seeking an enthusiastic person to join our small but busy team to meet the requirements of the new Homelessness Reduction Act. This role will provide effective housing advice and assistance to prevent and resolve homelessness.

 

You should have previous experience in the provision of Housing Advice and Homelessness Prevention and have communication skills sufficient to deal effectively and efficiently with front line customers and partner agencies.

 

You should be able to demonstrate organisational skills sufficient to administer case work to meet set targets and be able to monitor and prepare statistical information. You should also have knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and implementation of homelessness functions and prevention initiatives.

 

Previous experience of commencing  homelessness applications, agreeing personal housing plans and making statutory decisions in line with the legislation would be advantageous.

 

The successful candidate should hold a full UK Driving Licence and be able to access various sites across the District.
