The starting salary for this role is £53,018 per annum and is based on a 36 working hour week.
IT&D has a vacancy for a Test Manager to work on our Digital programme that sits within the councils Transformation programme. The role is offered initially as six month fixed-term contract, with the potential to be extended beyond this period subject to project requirements.
You will need to be able to create test strategies at an enterprise level and create test approaches and plans within the scope of individual digital programme projects. In this role you will need to manage test plans throughout the project delivery and co-ordinate various IT&D and business resources assigned as testers to the project team.
You will have the ability to manage the projects testing phase using tools such as Jira, co-ordinating internal SCC resources and external contractors to deliver quality assured product which will improve the council’s services and benefit the residents of Surrey. Working with Data Governance and Architecture, you will ensure that testing standards and gates are established which will result in consistent high quality outcomes.
You must be an experienced Test Manager holding an ISTQB Advanced Level qualification or have the equivalent experience. As a recognised expert in the theory and practice of Test Management you will develop good test knowledge and expertise in others and enhance testing strategies and processes within the organisation.
You will manage virtual project team resources and will therefore have good communication, engagement and organisation skills together with credibility in the role.
