We are looking for an experienced PMO Manager who will be accountable for the development and management of the Corporate Programme Management Office (PMO).
The PMO is at the centre of delivering the transformational change programmes and projects to ensure the Councils cost, quality, time and benefits realisation is controlled and achieved. This is a key function in supporting the delivery of the Change Programme and Wirral's strategic plans and priorities.
Key responsibilities include the management, governance, and control of the strategic project portfolio, business case management, benefits and quality management and resource supply management.
The PMO manager will be responsible for developing robust management control mechanisms, financial and dashboard reporting and resource tracking and supply.
The role requires the interpersonal skills to establish professional credibility quickly, to influence across the Council's senior leadership team, and the energy and drive to deliver collaborative change through strong working relationships. The ability to work at pace, communicate well with internal and external stakeholders and elected members is key to this role, therefore candidates must also be able to demonstrate experience in these areas.
This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home. In future, the Council will be moving to a hybrid of working arrangements for many of our roles with a combination of homeworking, office and site working as required.
