About the Post:
Like all of us here at Barnsley, you care about family wellbeing. So you’ll relish this opportunity to play a key part in delivering Reducing Parental Conflict Training to multiagency partners. Although we know that some level of arguing and conflict between parents is often a normal part of everyday life, there is strong evidence to show how inter-parental conflict that is frequent, intense and poorly resolved can have a significant negative impact on children’s mental health and long-term life chances. By coordinating the delivery of high quality training we can support practitioners to identify and support families to resolve conflict in positive ways.
Creativity, ambition and a focus on people. That’s what matters at Barnsley Council. Our award-winning council is on an exciting journey of change. It’s all about putting local people at the heart of everything, listening to and doing good for our communities. We’re now more innovative, more efficient and provide better value for money. The changes are clear to see - from new businesses and jobs, to improving school results and to museums being recognised for their community engagement.
