Horsham District Council are looking for an enthusiastic Sports Activity Officer to assist in the delivery of high quality sports activities. The role involves both hands on sports coaching and sports administrative duties.
You will be joining a small team with a committed focus on sports and leisure. We are actively working to provide exciting sport and leisure opportunities for all, encouraging participation in sport and helping improve the health and wellbeing of our communities.
Working within the Leisure and Sports Development team, you will both assist and lead in the coaching of a wide range of sporting activities. Your role will also involve managing both online and manual bookings, overseeing the leisure access card scheme, coordinating the administration of sports and activity courses and assisting with processing orders and invoices.
To succeed as Sports Activity Officer you will have the ability to deal with a varied workload and cope with a fast-paced environment with changing tasks and priorities.
You will be someone who can demonstrate that they are able to respond calmly and sensitively to members of the public.
We are looking for a strong team player with good communication, facilitation and problem-solving skills, as well as an agile, flexible and can-do approach.
