West Berkshire Council is looking for a creative, passionate and confident communicator to support its response to, and recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
This is a role which will be engaged in a number of activities including public health activities such as the vaccination and community/home testing programme and work with teams across the Council to support communities impacted by the pandemic.
Working in a busy team the successful candidate will be able to work on their own initiative, innovate, prioritise tasks and confidently give communications advice to officers, managers and Councillors. The ideal candidate will be proficient across a range of channels, able to use research to inform and evaluate campaigns and be self-assured working with local, regional and national media.

We are ideally looking to offer the successful candidate the full number of hours advertised above. We may however consider offering less hours than advertised providing they meet the requirements of the role and service which will be determined by the recruiting manager.
