This new role is at the heart of the Council’s corporate consultations and engagement activity and presents a real opportunity for you to use your experience and knowhow to influence and advise others on best practice. You will be required to design, deliver and evaluate engagement exercises to meet the needs of each project. The role will require you to build strong relationships and collaborate with councillors, officers and those we need to consult to ensure the data used to inform Council decisions is robust and trusted. As priorities can change, flexibility will be important.
You’ll be an experienced researcher who is used to multi-tasking, and who has excellent planning, workload and project management skills. Excellent data analysis will be critical as well as good written skills as you’ll need to convey your recommendations in clear, professional reporting to senior managers. You should feel comfortable carrying out all forms of engagement whether this is online, in person or over the phone, so you will need to be competent communicating in multiple ways.
