Halton Children and Families services are excited to be recruiting to a new post of Parenting Co-ordinator. This post is a fixed term 3 year funded post until Sept 2024.
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate children and young people’s practitioner that can take forward our parenting offer.
The successful candidate will be based within Team around the Family and will work across Halton. You will need to demonstrate strong communication skills. Be confident in delivering training to multi agency professionals and have good written skills.
You must have a good understanding of the challenges parents face when bringing up children.
The main purpose of the role:
To support the development and roll out of the Parenting Support Strategy for Halton.
To centrally co-ordinate and evaluate the multiple offers of parenting courses available across Halton, and to map the spectrum of provision from light touch support, to intensive accredited programmes.
To transform Halton’s current approach in order to offer a universal to level 3 parenting support tool to all stakeholders in the Borough; promoting preventative resources which promotes family resilience, healthy relationships and improved outcomes for families, children and young people.
To ensure all current gaps are addressed and that a wide range of support is available across the Borough.
To lead on the roll out of Reducing Parental Conflict multi-agency training across the borough.
