We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic candidate to join our busy Community Resilience Team on a part time basis and who shares our organisations values and behaviours.
As the Safeguarding officer you will work alongside the Directorate specialist and Senior safeguarding officer being responsible for the day to day functions within the Safeguarding Team.
The successful candidate will be based within the Council’s newly modernized and innovative policing hub and will work alongside EFDC funded Police Officers as well as members the wider community resilience team.
Through personal example, open commitment and clear action the safeguarding officer will provide employees with positive direction and advice on safeguarding matters.
The post holder will work in partnership with all key agencies, sharing information where appropriate to maximise protection of children, young people and vulnerable adults in the Epping Forest District and is to ensure the Council meets its statutory obligations and that the highest standards of probity and good conduct are always maintained.
As we work collaboratively with the Councils dedicated Policing team the post holder must pass Police vetting at the required level 2 (Non-Police Personnel Vetting (NPPV).
