About the role

In recent years the Highways and Traffic Management Department have delivered the highly successful £30million Enjoy Waltham Forest Programme to radically change neighbourhoods by placing cycling, walking and public realm improvements at the heart of our schemes.

This role will lead on the management and delivery of one of the UK’s largest cycle parking portfolios as part of the Enjoy Waltham Forest Programme, including Bikehangars, Cycle Hubs and cycle stands. We currently have over 550 Bikehangars, seven Station Cycle Hubs and over 2,000 cycle stands, with funding secured to increase these facilities in response to the Climate Emergency and to meet the demands of our residents.

You will be responsible for the planning, delivery and ongoing maintenance of the cycle parking portfolio and develop new and innovative cycle parking solutions for standard, electric, cargo and adapted cycles.

About you

We are looking for someone with excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills and ideally has demonstrable experience of delivering sustainable transport projects.

You will bring a passion for customer experience, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to operate to tight deadlines in highly pressured environments.
