An opportunity has become available to join our team within Children's Disability Residential and Respite services. As the Buildings Coordinator and Driver you will be responsible for the day to day operation of two sites, the car parks and grounds, ensuring that a consistent high-quality customer service is provided to children, staff and visitors. This includes responsibility for the Buildings Management System, undertaking repairs, home and garden improvement tasks, general building maintenance, oversight of health and safety, adherence to fire regulations and testing, security, procurement of goods and services, overseeing contractors who attend the sites, and other duties set out in the job description. As a driver you will have responsibility for safely transporting our young people on outings and to various appointments. You will have responsibility for allocated vehicles to ensure that the daily checks and maintenance is completed for road safety.
Our services play an important role in supporting children and young people who may have severe and enduring cognitive delay and learning disabilities, and who may also have physical disabilities. This is a great opportunity for someone who has the necessary skills and experience, and who wants to make a difference to disabled children and young people. To find out more about the type of tasks you will undertake, and what a typical day can be like working in our service, please contact Charlotte de Retuerto or Shirin White for an informal discussion.
